From Samantha Fritz, Interim Project and Community Manager, Islandora Foundation
Charlottetown, CA Islandora Camp will be in Colorado this Fall. Hosted by the University of Denver in association with the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries, this first Central-US camp will take place October 13-15, 2014.
Islandora camps are a great opportunity to receive hands-on training experience as both a developer and administrator of the Islandora framework. Camps also provide a chance to work closely with instructors and experienced users while learn about new and upcoming projects in the community.
• Day 1: provides introductory sessions and a broad overview of the current status of the Islandora project, stack, and future plans.
• Day 2: hosts a full day of workshops/tutorials of hands on experience, either via the user interface (admins) or by digging into the underlying code (devs).
• Day 3: takes a close look at many of the tools available for Islandora and sessions from the Islandora community
Registration will remain open until October 3rd:
Full registration: join us for a full three days of camp
Institutional Registration: if there are three or more individuals from your institution you can save on your 3rd and subsequent registrations
Daily Rates: for those in need of flexible date options

We would love to hear about your Islandora related experiences and projects, and so would the community! Send us to present at Islandora Camp! Presentations should be roughly 20-25 minutes in length (with time after for questions) and deal with Islandora in some way.
