Columbus, Ohio The ALCTS Metadata Interest Group invites proposals for presentations at its meeting at the 2013 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Seattle, Washington, on Sunday, January 27th from 8:30 to 10:00 am.
Presentations focusing on current topics and practices that relate to the role of preservation metadata in digital preservation are preferred. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
• Tools and workflows for capturing preservation metadata
• Tools and strategies for implementing preservation metadata
Rome, Italy The 5th International Conference on Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries (QQML) will be held at "La Sapienza" University, in Rome June 4-7, 2013. Proceedings will focus on new methodological developments and practical applications for libraries.

Washington, DC The 2013 NAGARA annual meeting will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 10-13, 2013. NAGARA will not be jointly meeting with any other associations in 2013. This year, the program will feature the following tracks: electronic records preservation, records management, management and policy, and access (social media, description, etc.).
