It has been a busy summer here at 4Science, with the new release of DSpace-CRIS and the ongoing development of DSpace 7. September will be even more exciting, with two important appointments, in order to share our ideas about the best way to use DSpace in different contexts.

During the last months 4Science developers released both DSpace-CRIS 5.7.0 and DSpace-CRIS 6RC2 (based on DSpace 6.2).

By Michael Guthrie, Director, KnowledgeArc  The Nigerian Research and Education Network Federated Repository (NgREN)  has launched a federated repository with assistance from KnowledgeArc. The new DSpace archive brings together the works from 42 different DSpace instances in the country, and provides a hub to showcase and highlight the intellectual output of Nigeria's universities.

DuraSpace and Data Curation Experts are set to offer the Fedora and Samvera Camp at Oxford University, Sept 4 - 8, 2017. The camp will be hosted by Oxford University Oxford, UK and is supported by Jisc.

Durham, North Carolina  Duke University Libraries is seeking a repository developer to work on redeveloping the MorphoSource project into full-scale repository.  This position is funded for three years through a grant from the National Science Foundation Advances in Biological Informatics (NSF ABI) program with the potential for renewal.

The camp will be hosted by Oxford University Oxford, UK and is supported by Jisc.
