Ithaca, NY The DuraSpace organization announced today the release of production-ready DuraCloud 1.0. This release focuses on reporting and integrations with popular DSpace and Fedora repositories. Since 2010, DuraCloud open source software has been available to a community of partners and committers who have provided feedback and testing to ensure that DuraCloud 1.0 is ready to be part of your workflow. DuraCloud is also available as a managed service.

DSpace on Fedora Discussion at OR11

Winchester, MA DuraSpace recommended that the DSpace and Fedora communities investigate strategies to allow DSpace software to run “on top of” the Fedora platform at the Open Repositories 2010 (OR10) Conference. The suggested goal of the initiative remains the same–to retain an out-of-the-box DSpace experience while also enabling extra features that Fedora provides including versioning, relationships between objects, flexible architecture.
